Hi. Anyone else have this problem? The handbrake cams on the rear brake calipers get harder and harder to move over time, so that you need more and more effort to put the brake on. Apparently this is a known failure mechanism for these type of calipers.

Anyone know of a solution? Do any later-model Golf calipers drop straight in?

i have golf mk 4 brake calipers, just need to buy golf 4 brake lines, make sure you have the metal brake line part, then this will fit on the corrado.

Thanks, Godless!

I'll make a few phone calls and see what I can find in the local wreckers. Could be a fun search, since most of the cars on NZ roads are Japanese (European cars are seen as way too expensive - strange the way the world works). The only exception seems to be BMWs which, IMHO, are the car of choice for people with no imagination.

Cheers
